Tutoring Beyond Words' Summer Tutoring Programs 2025

This is a virtual tutoring program offered for students who are entering or repeating PreK, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, or Third Grade. Students will engage in multisensory and explicit phonics instruction using UFLI curriculum. Tutoring programs are taught by a certified, experienced, bilingual teacher. Students will be assessed and placed in one of the following classes: 

Program Dates: July 1-July 29

Program Cost: $200, sibling discounts offered 

• Rising Readers Tuesday/Thursday 11:00-11:40am
• Growing Readers Tuesday/Thursday 12:00-12:40pm 

Looking to expand your capacity to teach your child to read? Enroll in one of the following workshops and receive a FREE tutoring session with Jaclyn to demonstrate the skills learned as well as a initial reading assessment evaluate your student's reading tutor needs . Offered virtually this summer. $60 per workshop. 

June 14, 2025 1:00-2:00pm Phonemic and Phonological Awareness Beginners 

Did you know that early literacy starts with understanding that words are made up of sounds? Help your child understand how to manipulate, blend, and segment sounds orally before even looking at letters. Begin your reading blocks with these drills to help your children understand how to identify and manipuate sounds within a word. 

July 15, 2025 7:30-8:30pm Using Elkonin Boxes for Spelling and Writing 

If your child is struggling to spell words or write sentences, they may benefit from using Elkonin boxes. Learn how to use this scaffold for students who are just beginning their reading journey as well as students who are more advanced. Great for neurodivergent learners!

July 19, 2025 1:00-2:00pm Understanding the Six Syllable Types 

Are multisyllabic words difficult for your child? Understanding how to break apart words into syllables and learning the 6 syllable types can help your child decode and spell multisyllabic words more efficiently.

Learn routines for decoding and encoding practice using manipulative letters. 

August 30, 2025 1:00-2:00pm Sight Words, High Frequency Words, and Irregular Words...OH MY!

You may have heard of these words when teaching your child to read, but did you know they are not the same? Learn the difference, and how to incorporate instructional strategies for these words into your reading block. 

Join us from 11:00am-12:00pm at The Book Shack in Dade City for Bilingual Storytime! Children will engage in stories, songs, and activities in Spanish and English. Leave with a list of phrases and words from the books and songs so you can practice at home!
